UPDATE FRIDAY 10.40AM: One person taken to hospital after four-car crash on A16 in Sutterton




One person was taken to hospital after a four-car crash on the A16 in Sutterton, it has been confirmed.

The crash was reported to firefighters just before 6.30pm yesterday (Thursday) and paramedics were called out just over an hour later.

An East Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We sent two crewed ambulances and transported one patient to Boston's Pilgrim Hospital."

FRIDAY 9.30AM: One casualty freed by firefighters after four-car crash on A16 in Sutterton

A four-car crash on the A16 in Sutterton has left at least one person with "minor injuries".

Fire crews from Donington and Kirton were called to Sutterton where the crash of cars, heading towards Spalding, was reported just before 6.30pm yesterday (Thursday)

One person was freed after firefighters used hydraulic cutting gear to remove a car door.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said any injuries were not severe and fire crews made two of the cars safe.
