The 2015 Spalding Pumpkin Festival finished a few minutes ago with a spectacular firework display over the South Holland Centre.
Huge crowds filled the market place as the warm weather brought people flooding into town.
People of all ages enjoyed live music, crafts and street food as well as the ever-popular Pumpkin Parade around the town, following the decorated pumpkin float housing the fancy dress winners.
It seemed to be the busiest parade in years with hardly room to move, and takeaways such as Sheddy’s and American Burger were doing tremendous business.

3PM: Video Update: Excitement builds as Spalding’s Pumpkin Festival gets under way
Pumpkin fever has already hit Spalding with a wonderful market in Sheep Market and fabulous food stalls in Hall Place.
Sweet treats and savoury dishes are there to be enjoyed by all-comers – and there are lots of bargains from charities and crafts people who are manning some of the stalls in wonderfully warm autumn sunshine.
Spalding’s Tulip Radio is in the thick of things, broadcasting from Hall Place, and there’s lots to see and do before tonight’s 6.30pm parade and the 5.30pm start of live entertainment from the outdoor stage. The event will close at around 7.30pm with a spectacular fireworks display.
The parade will be headed by the pumpkin coach, which is in Hall Place now if you want to take a closer look.

Shops are supporting the pumpkin festival with displays in their windows and some staff are donning fancy dress to help get everyone in the mood to party.
• If you want to learn the art of pumpkin carving, why not visit Angela and Jonathan Nicholls, of Farmhouse Chicken Crafts, as they are giving their own master class from a stall in Sheep Market ... all you have to do is watch them at work.
