South Holland police crackdown on problem cyclists
Police have been cracking down on cyclists who have been causing problems in South Holland.
Officers held an evening operation on Monday (December 16) after receiving complaints from the community.
South Holland Sector Inspector Nick Waters said: "During the operation, 19 cyclists were dealt with by officers, some of these resulted in people being reported for offences.
- Drug driver reached speed of 80mph court heard
- Warning over telephone scam
- Shop denied permission to sell alcohol
"Some follow up action in relation to school children who were stopped will take place in slow time with the schools concerned.
"We are aware that concerns around cycling offences are regularly raised, with finite resources it is not something we can always address immediately but we have and will continue to hold days of action to target this."
