People with a local connection to Pinchbeck have a unique chance to rent a new home in the village.
Fourteen houses are being built in Flaxmill Lane, Pinchbeck, as part of a scheme set up by the Pinchbeck Community Land Trust (CLT) and supported by South Holland District Council.
The £1.4 million development of two and three bedroom properties will be completed in early spring and the Lincolnshire Rural Housing Association will then take management of the homes.
The houses will benefit from a number of features including an allotment area.
Coun Christine Lawton, the council’s portfolio holder for housing, said: “The new homes are exclusively available to people who live in Pinchbeck, and we want to ensure that local people do not miss out.
“The local connection criteria concerns those who live in the parish, work in the parish, have family who live in the parish, or those who lived there previously and had to move away due to issues in finding accommodation in Pinchbeck.
“Anybody who wishes to register an interest in the homes needs to speak to the council’s Housing Advice team, who will advise on the application process.”
