National Children's Gardening Week at Tydd school

Youngsters at Tydd St Mary Primary School have joined the gardening revolution with help from a Holbeach grower.

Carl Wilson, of Taylor's Bulbs, visited the school before the half-term break and gave children some seeds and bulbs to plant at home as part of National Children's Gardening Week.

Head teacher Sonia Ely said: "We didn't really know such a week existed so we were really grateful to Taylor's Bulbs for bringing it to our attention.

"It was good for the children to all have something to plant and grow as part of their half-term activities.

"We've also invited them to bring in photographs to show how their seeds and bulbs have grown."
