Two more pop-up walk-in vaccine clinics are running in South Holland this week as part of the push to increase take up of the jab.

A service will run from 10am until 4pm at Springfields Events and Conference Centre in Spalding today (Tuesday).

Then, on Thursday (January 6) a pop-up clinic will run from St Marys Church Hall in Market Place, Long Sutton.

In both cases there is no appointment needed and vaccines will be offered on a first come first served basis.

First, second and booster jabs can be administered at both locations - and the service is open to anyone eligible, including 12-15 year olds who have a parent or guardian present to give consent.

The latest Government figures show that 81.9% of over-12s have had at least one dose of a Covid vaccine in South Holland - which is 72,103 people.

A further 67,498 (76.7%) have had a second dose and 50,977 people (57.9%) have had a third or booster dose.

Covid infection rates have continued to rise across South Holland over the last week - with more than 1,000 cases reported in the past seven days.

However, the district's case rate remains one of the lowest in the country and well below the national average.
