Two South Holland volunteers were honoured with certificates of recognition from Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service.
Coun Nick Worth (left) presented an award to choir stalwart Martin Woods (centre), watched by the CVS chief executive Ladey Adey, and to Rita Mitchell, who plays a central role in Holbeach Seniors Link.
Martin has worked tirelessly to raise awareness of The Sing South Holland Community Choir as well as raising funds to keep it going.
Rita played a key role in setting up a successful patient participation group at Littlebury Medical Centre and also introduced the idea of a dementia support group for the area.
Awards were also presented to volunteers who helped in the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics, including torch bearer Eileen Daubney, games maker Karen Johnson and Flt Lt Rachael Cadman, who carried the Union Flag during the opening ceremony.
