Holbeach accident: two taken to trauma hospital

Two people were taken to a specialist trauma hospital with serious injuries following a road accident this morning (Tuesday).

One patient was taken to Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham by ambulance and another by air ambulance after the collision in Damgate Road, Holbeach at 6.53am.

A spokesperson at the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance said: “On Tuesday, July 2, the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance was dispatched to a road traffic collision in Holbeach, where our Air Ambulance arrived on scene in just 14 minutes.

"Our crew treated a patient before airlifting them to the Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham in just 12 minutes, a journey by land that could have taken up to an hour.

“The life-saving work of the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance is only possible thanks to the generosity of local people who continue to support our charity.”
