Police have arrested a man in connection with the collision in New Road, Spalding

UPDATE: Police say they have now arrested a 29-year-old local man in connection with this incident.

Officers say the man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm in connection and is currently in custody for questioning:

Two people were injured while crossing the road during the early hours of this morning.

A man and a woman, both in their 20s, were hurt as they crossed New Road in Spalding at 4.41am. Their injuries are not thought to be serious.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the collision, which is believed to have involved a dark coloured car.

Officers say that enquiries are still underway to establish the exact make and model.

A spokesman said: "If you witnessed the incident or think you may have seen the vehicle involved before or after, or have any dashcam footage, we would like to hear from you."
