Two-car crash in Tydd St Mary leaves a man seriously injured and in hospital for treatment

A man has been seriously injured after a crash involving two cars in Tydd St Mary yesterday evening (Monday).

Emergency services were called to the A1101 Wisbech Road, Tydd St Mary, where a red Alfa Romeo was in collision with a blue Volkswagen Passatt at about 6.30pm.

One man was taken to Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge for treatment and the road was closed for some hours to allow the cars to be recovered and for collision investigators to examine the scene.

Anyone who saw the collision or either of the cars before it should call 101, quoting incident number 374 of February 11.
