The lucky lady who becomes the first ever Tulip Radio Tulip Queen this year will win a dress fitting in a dress worth up to £400 from Fancy Frox - the bridal, prom, evening, party, pageant and occasion wear specialists in Spalding.

Fancy Frox stock over 1,000 dresses and outfits from leading worldwide brands for every occasion, and the Tulip Queen’s first official engagement will be a very special occasion indeed.

On Friday, November 28 the Tulip Queen will be announced, and will go on to turn on the Christmas Lights in Spalding that evening with Santa.

Owner of Fancy Frox, Karen Povey, said: “We only have about half an hour to sort out a dress for the new Tulip Queen on the day.

“It’s a challenge, but we are definitely up to that challenge - we’ve been in business for 12 years and we have a brilliant, highly trained team who will be able to treat the Tulip Queen like royalty.

“We are a small business but we bring in customers from all over the county and the country too.

“We are thrilled to be able to support our town and the new ambassador for the area.”

Entry forms are available at the Spalding Guardian office, Tulip Radio and Loaded Nightclub.

Entrants must be 18+.

* Tomorrow, 12 models from schools in South Holland will be modelling Fancy Frox dresses at a fashion show at Spalding Grammar School.

Tickets for children are £3 and adults £5. Show starts at 7pm.
