Last weekend’s Tulip Mania Festival at Springfields in Spalding featured the crowning of Bradley Grant and Marisa Kievets in the Tulip Mania Prince and Princess competition. They will represent the area at a number of events over the next year.

Also appointed were deputies Jade Winkett and Mollie Bracey.

Entertainment included the stunning Watoto Children’s School Choir who produced one of the most inspirational performances seen yet. The whole choir joined in various other activities and kept the event alive.

Also performing on stage were Diamondz Dance and Tracey Vowels from Spalding’s Fitness Company, who demonstrated how to keep fit while having fun.

Sunday’s weather meant several performances had to be cancelled, although town centre manager Dennis Hannant sang a selection of swing numbers on both days, as did the popular Frozen crew, pleasing the young with their snow.

The Classic Car show was a smaller version than has been seen in previous years as many local classic enthusiasts did not want to bring their cars out in wet weather.

Thank you to all those who helped and performed at the event. Look on Tulip Radio’s website www.tulip-radio.co.uk at the ‘Picture Gallery’ to see some happy moments.
