Three men have been told to appear at court next month in connection with an attack on a nightclubber in Spalding.

Kristaps Zarins and Dovydas Bbagdonas, both 30 and from Spalding, as well as Vasilijus Klimuk (28), of Kent, have been summoned to appear before Boston magistrates on August 15 in relation to an assault which took place outside Loaded Nightclub in February.

All three men have been charged with affray after a 20-year-old man was attacked and left unconscious outside the nightclub in Westlode Street.

The attack is believed to have taken place in the queue outside the venue and the man was taken to hospital where he was found to have suffered critical injuries.

Inspector Gareth Boxall, neighbourhood policing inspector for South Holland, said: "We take violence on our streets very seriously and work hard to prosecute those responsible.

Inspector Gareth Boxall, neighbourhood policing inspector for South Holland, said: "We take violence on our streets very seriously and work hard to prosecute those responsible.

"Hundreds of people enjoy Spalding’s pubs and nightclubs every week and it is a shame that incidents like this happen from time to time.

"We want to make sure that people are and feel safe, not only during the day but when they are out at night too.

"Therefore, we continue to work with landlords and owners of local pubs, clubs and takeaways, as well as the PubWatch Scheme, to reduce violence and disorder in the town."
