Five people have been hurt after a two-vehicle collision near the A16 in Cowbit on Monday morning.

It involved a Toyota Avensis and Skoda Yeti, one of which rolled into a ditch after the collision in Mill Drove North just before 7am.

Three people were taken to Peterborough City Hospital, two with neck injuries and one with a loss of feeling, while two more people were treated at the scene for minor injuries and then discharged shortly afterwards.

MONDAY 10AM: Woman in hospital after two-vehicle crash in Cowbit

A woman has been taken to hospital after a two-vehicle collision near the A16 in Cowbit this morning.

It involved a Toyota Avensis and Skoda Yeti which collided in Mill Drove North just before 7am.

A woman who was a passenger in the Avensis was taken to hospital but there is as yet no update on how serious her injury is.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said: “All others are walking wounded and the vehicles are in the process of being recovered.”

Meanwhile, firefighters were called to a single-vehicle crash in Marriot’s Gate, Lutton, last night.

A crew from Long Sutton made the vehicle safe after the crash just before 10.30pm.
