Police, firefighters and paramedics were called to West Marsh Road, Spalding, where a Peugoet crashed shortly before 2.40am on Sunday.

According to a Lincolnshire Police tweet, the road was “closed completely and impassable”, while the driver was treated for his injuries by a paramedic and LIVES volunteer.

The man was taken to Pilgrim Hospital, Boston, for further treatment, while firefighters made the car safe.

SUNDAY 9.55AM: Crash on Spalding’s West Marsh Road.

A section of West Marsh Road, Spalding, has been closed after an accident early this morning (Sunday).

Police have described the road as “closed completely and impassable”, warning drivers to avoid the area after the crash at about 2.35am.

Firefighters from Spalding arrived at the scene only to find that no one was trapped, following which they made the vehicle safe.
