Spalding MP asked to help

Have your say

TRANSPORT campaigners are seeking help from South Holland and The Deepings MP John Hayes in their fight to get lights for Spalding’s Stepping Stones Bridge.

Spalding and Peterborough Transport Forum chairman George Scott said the bridge is owned by Network Rail and its public footpath is maintained by Lincolnshire County Council – but neither will take responsibility for lighting.

Mr Scott said: “We are concerned there should be a duty of care from the county council or Network Rail to make sure that it’s safe for people to cross.”
