SOUTH Holland residents have had the chance to air their views on plans for a new bypass for Spalding.
Organised by Lincolnshire County Council, the consultation events asked people their preferred route for the proposed western relief road.
Project leader Jonathan Wickham said: “Perhaps not surprisingly, with it being market day as well, our most popular event was at the Red Lion Quarter on the Saturday.
“I think people appreciated the opportunity to come and talk to us in Pinchbeck and Deeping St Nicholas too.
“We’re currently looking through more than 170 questionnaires that we’ve received back so far.
“We have received many helpful and diverse comments about the proposals, which will be used to help decide on the route we will carry forward to a planning application in 2012.
“The consultation results will be published in a report that will be available to download later this year.”
