Police have confirmed that three people being treated in hospital after a crash near Crowland this morning are a baby boy and his parents.
Wednesday, 6pm: A dad and his eight-month-old son are in a serious condition at Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham.
The boy’s mum was also seriously injured and is in hospital at Peterborough.
The road was still closed late this afternoon.
Wednesday, 1pm: A BABY and a 33-year-old man have been airlifted to hospital following a serious car accident near Crowland. Emergency services were called to the A16 at 9.35am after a collision between a Ford Focus and a Seat Leon.
Police say the eight-month-old baby boy had been travelling in the Focus with the man and a 31-year-old woman.
The baby has been taken to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham along with the man who also suffered serious injuries. The woman suffered a head injury and fractures and is being treated at Peterborough City Hospital.
The driver of the Seat is a 50-year-old man from the Boston area. He’s being treated for cuts and bruises at Peterborough.
The A16 is currently closed with diversions in place along the A1073.
