Spalding's Park Road closes again for 'emergency work'

More news, no ads

A busy Spalding road has had to close again for 'emergency work'.

Park Road had to shut between May and September last year due to a 'dangerous dip' - and then had to close again in November.

It's now shut once again between Winsover Road and Pennygate.

An Anglian Water spokesman said: "Anglian Water and Lincolnshire County Council are working together to investigate an issue with the road on Park Road, Spalding.

"The teams will be working to find out why a sewer pipe has been damaged.

"During this time it has been necessary to close the road while the work takes place.

"We would like to thank everyone for their patience while we complete this emergency work."

It's not yet known how long this closure will be needed for - or if the problem is for exactly the same issue as the one that dogged the road both in 2021 and the year before, when work was carried out to try to fix subsidence issues.
