Spalding town buses suffer impact of road closures

A bus operator says that road closures are playing havoc with services in Spalding today.

Brylaine Travel says it cannot run its Spalding Town IT1 buses because both Park Road and Woolram Wygate are closed.

It says it is having talks with Lincolnshire County Council's highways department to see what can be done.

Bosses have also said the closures are having a knock-on effect on its IT2 town buses.

The operator tweeted: "We can only operate the half past the hour service around West Alloe, Fulney Halmergate Stonegate into Spalding etc due to 'emergency' road closures on the opposite side of town. We apologise for the inconvenience."
