Spalding tip closed due to water connection issue

Spalding's tip is closed this morning as a result of an issue with the water connection.

Staff are at the gates of the West Marsh Road household waste recycling centre turning motorists away - and it's not yet clear when it will reopen.

Lincolnshire County Council tweeted this morning: "Anglian Water are aware but unable to give an estimated time for repair.

"We will open the site as soon as we can, once the water is back on."
