An Education Awards sponsor is looking forward to once again celebrating the brilliant pre-schools in our area.

Spalding firm Riverside Training will be sponsoring our Pre-School of the Year category this year, having done so ever since the awards kicked off.

Rewarding the dedication, innovation and application is the name of the game, and Suzie Bulbeck, who set up the training provider back in 2007, is looking forward to honour some worthy winners.

She said: “The evening is a fantastic celebration of those who go above and beyond to promote excellence within our pre-schools, primary and secondary schools across South Holland, the Deepings and Bourne.

“The awards recognise and reward a host of inspiring and innovative individuals and teams who really are the unsung heroes of education and it’s great to have the opportunity to applaud their hard work and commitment.

“To view the passion that makes these preschools is unique. Preschool practitioners are a vital part of a young person’s life, they engage and make a difference to the whole early years setting and the wider community - especially with supporting the mental health and well-being of children and peers.

“They make a tangible difference to children’s early years and educational experience throughout their school lives.”

Last year, Spalding’s BeBright PreSchool emerged as worthy winners after some judging from South Holland district councillor Nick Worth.

Owners Stephanie Barrett and Laura Spillett were over the moon with the result, and paid tribute to their hard-working staff.

Liliput Day Nursery was named one of the runners-up, and were joined by Little Treasures.

Suzie added: “It’s an extra special occasion for myself and the company. I am very proud that we are involved in the awards.

“In fact, Riverside Training has sponsored the Pre-School of the Year every year since the awards were established.

“The award recognises dedication, innovation and effort in providing Early Years education that has made a real difference to young lives.

“This has additional relevance to the company as we have helped many of the Early Years staff in the local area - including some of those nominated for the awards each year - to achieve their childcare qualifications.

“I am very much looking forward to meeting the award finalists and presenting the trophy and certificate to the winner of our category.

“However, if past experience of the awards is anything to go by, then I won’t be surprised if I already know the finalists and overall winner through the services we provide.”

This year’s Education Awards ceremony will take place at Springfields Events Centre in Spalding on July 7.

If you would like to nominate an individual or group for one of the categories, you can do so by visiting www.spaldingeducationawards.co.uk

Other categories include Primary and Secondary School of the Year, the Environmental Award and the Outstanding Sporting Achievement.

Outstanding youngsters will also be rewarded on the big night.
