A SPALDING butcher’s bangers narrowly missed out on being crowned the best in the region but won approval from Noddy Holder.
The Crescent’s Geo Adams & Sons took their 1910 Traditional Lincolnshire Sausage to the British Banger Regional Final in Nottingham last week. The sausage was second but was praised by the glam rocking judge.
Director Lizzi Adams (pictured with Noddy left) said: “It was great to meet Noddy. He was really friendly and even signed a copy of the Spalding Guardian article about us being in the competition for our sausage maker Tony Ragsdale who was unable to make it.”
