Spalding hit event is up for awards

A town's spook-tacular event, which was held for the first time in 2020, has been nominated for three awards.

The Sessions House of Horrors immersive event, which was held at the iconic Sessions House in Spalding last October to mark Halloween, is in the running for three SCAR awards at this year's annual scare attraction convention ScareCON.

The event, which was a huge hit with horror fans, has been shortlisted for best scene/set piece, best new event/attraction and best multi part scream event at the awards ceremony.

Oliver Sneath, who owns the Sessions House with his wife Dorota, said: "We had quite a few vloggers and reviewers visit us to rate the experience and we had been given a glowing review from Scare Directory. I knew that there was this award ceremony and I had thought it would be amazing to be nominated for the new attraction award.

"Then I saw that we were up for it plus two more and it was such a nice surprise."

Oliver says that this year's Halloween event is already in the pipeline.

He said: "This does make me a little bit nervous for this year as the bar has been set but we are definitely doing it as it's so much fun!"

It is hoped that the ceremony will be held at ScareCON at Thorpe Park in May.
