There is even more to love about Spalding market, with a series of events planned over the next couple of weeks.

On Saturday, there will be a safety awareness and cycle information police presence (10am-2pm), along with a slot by Spalding Marching Ambassadors (12.30-1.30pm), and all day face painting, hair braiding and (hopefully) a stunt unicyclist.

The fun continues on Tuesday, with hair and beauty demonstrations from Boston College (10am-2pm) and, hopefully, a fire engine.

On Saturday, May 28, Justin Grimshaw of Pendragon Antiques, at Spalding Lifestyle, is holding an auction at noon in aid of Pilgrim Hospital’s Special Baby Care Unit.

Dave Burgess, who is coordinating Love Your Local Market Fortnight in Spalding, said: “We want donations of things to auction, absolutely anything, and they can be brought to us at the Market Place between 7am and 11.30am.”

Also on that Saturday there will be face painting, a police presence offering safety and cycle information, and hopefully a fire engine and the stunt unicyclist.
