Spalding’s Loaded nightclub has recently undergone a change of management and is celebrating with a visit by
reality TV star James Locke.

General manager of 11 years David Charlesworth has moved into a new industry and has been replaced by Gemma Bowers, already in charge at Boston’s Assembly Rooms.

Gemma, who hails from Spalding, said: “I have already undertaken a review of the team at the venue, and appointed over a dozen new positions to improve customer service, with all existing team being retrained.

“I am excited to be at the helm of Loaded, a venue that I have enjoyed many enjoyable nights at myself, and our new team is already working hard to bring some new and exciting changes to fruition.”

Gemma’s first huge night will be on Saturday, September 3 when The Only Way Is Essex star James ‘Lockie’ Locke comes to Loaded for the ‘TOWIE wrap party’.

“I’m really excited to welcome ‘Lockie’ to Loaded,” added Gemma.

“He was my first celebrity guest in Boston last year and also one of the most popular. I know the girls will love him, looks and personality alike.”

The BAFTA-award winning reality TV series regularly attracts over one million viewers and has produced some of the most recognisable TV talent, presenters, designers and models.

Gemma promised that Lockie will be partying with the crowds throughout the night.

There are also a raft of other events coming up at Loaded, including the 12th birthday celebration, the A-level results party and a third DJ playing every Saturday in August until 4.30am.

“Our company’s passion is for entertainment and escapism,” said Gemma.

“We want to deliver an experience that is not possible in people’s living rooms. A return to socialising with friends in person, not over social media channels.”

Loaded has been trading in Spalding for 12 years and is expecting to welcome its one millionth customer in September.

Company director Matt Clark said: “The appointment of Gemma over the two venues was an obvious choice – her passion for customer and indeed team experience is exemplary.

“Whilst I certainly won’t be drooling over Lockie, I am looking forward to catching up with him for a drink, and I am confident the ladies of Spalding will be most excited about his visit.”

Along with the exciting entertainment calendar the club bosses have also confirmed that a refurbishment plan is around the corner.

There will be major upgrades to the lounge area, the main room and also the pre-bar Bounce.
