Spalding and Holbeach area carers are thanked for their hard work in looking after old folks
Dedicated carers at three care homes have received a special thank you for their hard work to look after pensioners during the coronavirus pandemic.
Treats were sent to staff at Beech Lodge Care and Nursing Home, Holbeach St Johns, along with Ashwood Care and Nursing Home and St John’s Care Home in Spalding.
Company owners, the Kachra family, had sent gifts including rosecco, chocolate, Country Court Jelly Beans, caramel shortbread and Shea Butter moisturising hand cream.
Chief executive Alykhan Kachra said “Our staff have been amazing throughout this pandemic, putting our residents before themselves and their own families.
“Many have worked long hours and extra shifts, so we felt they deserved a treat and this would be a great way to say thank you and to acknowledge the sacrifices that people continue to make.”
Manager of Ashwood Care and Nursing Home, Nogi John, said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to the Kachra family for the lovely gifts, generosity and continued support.
“The pandemic has been challenging for everyone, but here at Ashwood Care and Nursing Home we are very proud of all our staff and their continued hard work to keep our residents and each other safe.”
The Country Court Care group operates 32 nursing and care homes across the country, which are working to support elderly people throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
At the start of the pandemic, the family had also sent a number of care packages to help staff with day-to-day life.
