Holbeach youngster brightens up the days of keyworkers with thank you notes

A thoughtful little girl has been brightening up the days of key workers by leaving them thank you notes.

Lola-Rose Thompson (8) left a picture on her recycling bags to thank South Holland District Council's refuse collectors.

Her proud mum Lisa said the youngster was inspired to draw the notes on Thursday and waited by the window for the collectors to arrive.

Mrs Thompson said: "He stood and looked at the bin bags before reading it and looked around for our house.

"When he saw Lola-Rose in the window, he put up his arms and waved.

"Lola-Rose just wanted to do something to make them happy and put a smile on their faces."
