A woman who has beaten off cancer refused to let coronavirus stand in her way of raising thousands of pounds for charity.

Teresa Walton is now calling on women to attend their routine mammograms after her tumour was discovered thanks to the screening programme.

After being discharged on New Year’s Eve, Teresa was due to complete the Great North Run with friend Sarah Willoughby to raise money for a breast cancer charity.
