Classic car club celebrates 10th anniversary
Spalding Classic Car Club celebrated its tenth birthday recently with an outing starting from the market place via a rural drive, ending at the Wishing Well at Dyke for a celebratory meal.
Attracting an eclectic mix of over 30 classic cars, including a 1927 Flat Nose Morris, E-Type Jaguar, various MG Bs and TDs, a Triumph Stag and a BMW 635, participants enjoyed a sunlit meander around the lanes
The club, brainchild of chairman Adrian Cunnington, has gone from strength to strength and currently has almost 200 members with a varied assortment of classic and interesting cars.
Members enjoy an extensive calendar of events, from visits, shows and talks to evening drives and socials, the biggest event being the club’s annual run, which attracts an entry of around 70 cars and will be held on Sunday, June 10.
The club appeals to people who own, or are simply interested in, classic cars of any type from concours to original and from the exotic to simply interesting.
