TASTES of the Tudors drew around 200 people to Ayscoughfee Hall in Spalding when historical re-enactment group Four and Twenty Blackbirds set up their pots and pans in the gardens.
There were plenty of tasty treats to try and a chance for youngsters to get involved, helping to grind flour and churn butter.
Museum assistant Rachel Thompson said: “We got lots of positive comments and people really enjoyed it.”
Four and Twenty Blackbirds is based in Long Sutton and specialises in medieval, Tudor and Elizabethan food preparation – covering all aspects from field to feast.
The group returns to Ayscoughfee on August 30 and 31, taking along a wider range of attractions including falconry.
