A water tanker has been called in to help residents and a school as engineers continue to repair a blocked sewer.

Boston Road South in Holbeach has been closed as engineers from Anglian Water looks to remove a section of the sewer.

The firm says it has brought in a tanker to help residents and Holbeach Primary Academy.

An Anglian Water spokesperson said, “Our teams continue to work on Boston Road South to investigate the blockage in the sewer pipe. We have excavated the ground to reach the pipe and will now be looking to remove the section which is currently blocked. We have a tanker onsite to ensure the school and residents can continue to use their facilities as normal and are in contact with local residents to keep them updated on progress.

“The road remains closed however access to the school and residents is in place."
