FOR the first time in the tournament’s history, a Lincolnshire school was represented in the national finals of the Tag2Twickenham Tag Rugby Competition.
Spalding’s Ayscoughfee Hall School had reached the Midlands finals before but this time went the whole way to take their place at the home of rugby.
Twenty schools from across England took part in a series of pool matches. Ayscoughfee Hall lost only one, eventually winning the Plate competition.
With the success, the school’s squad is recognised as being among the top ten in England.
