Spalding Self-Harm Self-Help Group is taking a partnership approach to the problem.

The group’s first meeting was attended by sufferers as well as representatives from groups that can help. These included Lincolnshire Parent Carer Forum, which supports families with children and young people with special needs and disabilities (lincspcf.org.uk).

Rethink Mental Illness’s group development officer Lauren Bate was present, along with support workers.

Marion Sandhu of Spalding Street Pastors, John Carroll from Spalding’s NHS Integrated Care Team, Chloe Stevenson, a health trainer with Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service, as well as Sally Stanfield from Lincolnshire Young Carers Count, were all sharing information on available help.
