The name of the new care home on Braeburn Road in Deeping St James has been chosen through a naming competition.
Winner Roy Howes chose the name of Braeburn Lodge and will receive a cheque for £500 to donate to a charity of his choice.
Roy put forward the name because an apple orchard used to be on the site of the care home. Some of the other strong entries were Deeplands View and St James Lodge.
Liz Moran, of owner Barchester Healthcare, said: “Congratulations to Roy for winning the naming competition and the cheque presentation will be arranged in the next few weeks.
“The name is befitting as the old apple orchard is something people remember and we may be able to mark this by planting an apple tree in the home’s grounds.
“At Barchester we pride ourselves on building excellent relationships within the local community and our new home is no different.”
The home opens in October.
