Long Sutton and Sutton Bridge will hold their annual parish meetings on the same night, Tuesday, March 14.
Some of the discussions at Long Sutton’s meeting will focus on a proposed Neighbourhood Plan project, essentially a blueprint that could shape the future of the town.
It’s envisaged the parish council would lead the project through the initial stages but it would then be continued by a core group of volunteers.
Parish councillor Dale Frith said: “The plan will assist in developing and influencing the future of our community, how it can change for the better whilst preserving and enhancing all that we value within Long Sutton.
“We are at the embryonic stage and it will depend upon the enthusiasm and commitment of those within the community of Long Sutton.’Council chairman Charles Moore said: “We are looking at the options of a Neighbourhood Plan again as we have had some interest.”
The meeting takes place at the Baptist Church, West Street, starting at 7pm.
The Sutton Bridge meeting also has a 7pm start in the Curlew Centre, in Bridge Road, although people are welcome to attend earlier as refreshments will be served from 6.45pm.
The meeting will be chaired by parish council chairman John Grimwood.
