A man from Sutton Bridge has had a piece of his own music played by Oxford Organ Scholar James Bowstead as part of the Colchester Organ Trail.
Members of the Colchester New Music group and the London Composers Forum, were asked to write pieces for church organ, which Colin Blundell did.
He said: “Never having composed for organ before, I got really excited by the prospect . There’s nothing like the sound of a church organ in full flow
“I congratulated James on his interpretation of ‘Colchester Castle’ because he got the mysterious, lost in the mists of time, archaic quality which I related to the Roman invaders who first invented Colchester.”
