SUTTERTON brownies have helped to make a stay in hospital a bit more comfortable for countless youngsters.
The Sprites, a sub-group of 1st Sutterton Brownies, visited Boston’s Pilgrim Hospital to donate a range of items to entertain and distract the youngsters cared for on the children’s ward.
The brownies, who are all aged between seven and 11, handed over two portable DVD players, a selection of DVDs and toys and games for all ages.
The items were bought with funds raised from a Brownies’ Got Talent show with a cake sale on the night.
More than 150 people went along and the group raised an impressive £232.
Children’s ward sister Margaret Goodley said: “We are extremely grateful for these donations that will be used in our playroom to brighten the days of our poorly children.
“The brownies have done a great job of raising the funds to buy the donated items and we cannot thank them enough for their efforts.
