Police are warning people about suspected rogue traders in South Holland after a woman was offered a £6,000 deal for repairs outside her house.

A group of men using a white crew cab pick-up called at a house in Gedney Broadgate earlier this morning.

The men are believed to tried to talk the woman into resurfacing her driveway in return for the £6,000 payment.

Police believe the men left and drove off towards Sutton St James.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said: "We strongly advise against employing anyone who comes to your door offering to do casual work."
