Lincolnshire County Council will be carrying out a programme of overnight surface dressing works on sections of the A16 and A17 between 7pm and 7am from Sunday, July 12 to Tuesday, July 28.
The works will take place overnight to minimise disruption and to ensure the safety of the workforce, who will have to work in the centre of the carriageway.
The county council has considered the needs of the travelling public and would like to apologise for any disruption the work may cause
Actual times and locations will be shown on electronic signs for each site at least two weeks in advance of the works, and messages will be updated throughout the works.
Convoy working will take place overnight (7pm until 7am) from July 18 to July 24 at the following locations:
A17 – Holbeach: between Holbeach roundabout and Foxes Low Road.
A17 – Fleet Hargate to Gedney roundabout
Road closures will take place overnight (7pm until 7am) at the following location:
A16 – between Spalding and Crowland (July 13 to 21).
All road closures will have signed diversion routes using other A roads for through traffic.
A spokesman said: “The county council has considered the needs of the travelling public and would like to apologise for any disruption the work may cause. These works are essential to maintain the life of the existing road surface.
“Drivers are advised to allow extra time for their journeys and drive with extra care and reduced speed over the newly treated surfaces until all road markings have been replaced.”
