Aldi, which has a Spalding store, is creating 9,000 new jobs
A supermarket chain has announced that it will be creating 9,000 jobs to support communities in the coronavirus crisis.
Aldi, which has a store in St Thomas' Road, says it is making 4,000 permanent positions and a further 5,000 fixed term contracts, which could become permanent.
Recruitment Director, Kelly Stokes, says: "We want to keep supporting our local communities through these uncertain times, with access to groceries and wages to keep their families going, and we feel we’re in a position to be able to do so through the creation of these new roles.
