LOCAL business Polka Dot Pantomimes have been on the search for an all singing, all dancing chorus of local boys and girls aged 8-18 to participate in Spalding’s ever popular professional pantomime.

Many local children attended the pantomime chorus auditions that took place, all hopeful of gaining a place in the chorus for this year’s family pantomime Aladdin being performed at the South Holland Centre.

The children that auditioned were battling it out for a place in this year’s chorus, where they would feature in the performances alongside Karl Sergison (from BBC 1’s Turn Back Time) as Emperor Of China and back by popular demand Phil Norton as Wishee Washee.

The children were asked to do a variety of different activities including learning a dance routine taught by a West End Choreographer and perform it back to the panel of judges at a performance standard.

The audition process whittled down the children to just 24 that would form 3 teams of chorus members. These three children’s casts will be alternating performances throughout the run of Aladdin this Christmas.

The pantomime runs from December 7 through until January 2. To book tickets contact the South Holland Centre on 01775 764777.
