Holbeach student arrested on suspicion of carrying knife

Police were called to a Holbeach school yesterday (Tuesday) and arrested a 13-year-old boy following reports of a student carrying a knife.

Officers attended University Academy Holbeach at 10.35am.

Inspector Gareth Boxall said: “We arrested a 13-year-old boy on suspicion of possessing a bladed article. I’m grateful to staff at the school whose quick actions resolved the incident quickly and without harm to anyone.

"We will continue to support the UAH and all local schools to ensure young people are educated to the dangers of carrying knives and other weapons.”
