Spalding to see Strictly Come dancing stars Ian Waite and Vincent Simone

Stars from the BBC hit show Strictly Come Dancing are in Spalding on Saturday for two performances at The South Holland Centre.

King of the ballroom Ian Waite and Argentine tango legend Vincent Simone join forces in The Ballroom Boys.

Produced by Strictly Theatre Company, the show has received rave reviews since the tour launched on April 30 with critics and audiences alike being wowed by a mix of world class dance and the comic and sometimes risque banter between the pair.

Ian and Vincent will be joined on stage by two female dancers and audiences will see dances including the waltz, quickstep, paso doble, foxtrot and the Argentine tango.

There will also be a vocalist.

Ian was one of the original professionals to dance on Strictly, which launched in 2004, and remained a popular member of the line-up until leaving the show in 2009.

He was a finalist with celebrity partner Denise Lewis in the second series of the show.

Ian has retained his links with Strictly by appearing alongside Zoe Ball on the BBC 2 spin off, It Takes Two, a nightly fix of updates for fans who can't wait for Saturday to come around.

Vincent Simone was in the Strictly line-up from 2006-2012, reaching the final twice - first with singer Rachel Stevens and then with Dani Harmer.

Ian and Vincent have also competed in Strictly's Christmas Day specials.

Ian's last Christmas special came in 2013 with partner Rochelle Humes while Vincent last graced our screens for the festive show in 2011, partnering Charlie Brooks.

Performances in Spalding take placeat 2.30pm and 7.30pm.

Some tickets were remaining as we went to press. The price is £30 (concessions £28).

Strictly super fans have been quick of f the mark because the £50 VIP meet and greet tickets have sold out.
