The hunt for the Tulipmania Prince and Princess is well and truly under way.

Excited competition entrants Scarlet Horsley, Kristyna Doads, Beth Lovegrove, Tamzin Naish and Trinity Barker visited Tulip Radio.

Children aged six to ten from across South Holland can enter the competition to become Prince and Princess in May. They will be chosen early on the day and will lead the Tulipmania procession around Springfields Festival Gardens where a photo shoot will take place.

The winners will receive a Raleigh bike donated by Gibbons Cycles, vouchers from Tesco in Holbeach and a £25 cash prize. All entrants will receive a goody bag and one free pass into the Springfields Festival & Tulipmania event for an accompanying adult.

Application forms are in Tuesday’s Free Press or call Tulip Radio on 01775 712400. Tulip’s station manager Chris Carter said: “Tulip Radio is thrilled to be organising the Tulipmania Prince and Princess competition which continues the tradition established by the Flower Parade of involving young people. This is set to be a fantastic event in which the whole community can be involved.”
