LEARN MOREA special meeting has been called to discuss plans to create a legal street art wall in Spalding.
Karl Barfoot and Adam Sadd are calling for a space for the town’s artists to express themselves and presented a petition to the last meeting of South Holland District Council.
The request was warmly received by councillors who agreed to set up a sub committee of the authority’s policy development panel to iron out details of how the idea could work in practice.
Members of the committee will be meeting on Tuesday, December 14, at 6.30pm in the council chamber at the Priory Road offices.
Artwork created by Mr Barfoot and Mr Sadd has created plaudits from far and wide with examples including a tribute to Capt Sir Tom Moore behind Spalding Rugby Club in St Thomas’ Road and a Harry Potter themed design at the town’s Railway Station.
At the last full council Mr Sadd said: “The public reaction has been nothing but positive.”
