Spalding's Heather Walker is looking to start in the New Year with a high
We have reached the last month of 2020 and for a lot of people it will be a welcome relief, not that we should wish time away.
However, I know that there will be a lot of people who will be pleased to see the back of this year
For me, moving into this last month I feel that there are a few aspects that we really need to bring to the forefront and prioritise.
And let’s just try and make this month a month of fun and enjoyment.
One aspect should be looking after ourselves including our physical and mental health.
We are all entitled to have an off-day especially being bogged down with everything.
But usually when we get active it helps to lift our mood and makes us feel pretty good in return.
This in turn helps with our physical health.
Thankfully from December 2 all gyms are to reopen which will allow that community to get back on track.
Whether you have suffered with mental health or not, it is something that we all have and need to look after just as much as our physical health.
As without either one we really have nothing! And this has been proven during 2020.
I also think that it’s crucial that we support our community of small businesses that we have left on the high street.
Those small shop owners are working around the clock to hang on in there!
So if we can all support these businesses in anyway we are not only keeping another shop on our high street we are also supporting that person’s dream.
I was really excited to get back into the gym and to get going again.
And I’ll be taking part (all being well) in a 10k run on New Year’s Eve.
I do love a goal and something to aim towards plus for me it’s ending the year or starting (depending how you look at it) on a high!
I would like to thank everyone for all of the support I have received on my own fitness journey.
I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy 2021.
