Gedney school is closed due to staff shortages
A South Holland school will be closing this afternoon (Wednesday) due to staff shortages.
Gedney Church End School headteacher Scott Pearson has said no staff member has coronavirus but going into self isolation as they are supporting family members who are in high risk groups.
The school will close at 3.15pm today until further notice but children will be able to download resources from the website in order to continue with their studies.

Mr Pearson said: "This decision has not been taken lightly, though at this moment in time the school has become non-operational due to staff shortages.
"No staff member has Covid 19 but they are supporting family members who are in high risk groups. A pregnant member of staff has also gone into self isolation as a precaution."
Mr Pearson's second school, Lutton St Nicholas, is remaining open.
