Have your say

Scores of you have already applied for your chance to walk away with a share of our £10,000 Smile Campaign pot.

But there is still time for anyone else who needs a cash boost to get their request in – whatever you might need the money for.

The Spalding Guardian has teamed up with Spalding and District Round Table, which has put up the money to benefit people throughout the community – and there are very few limits on what you can use the money for.

Sports clubs have been asking us for help to buy new kit and equipment, while individuals have put in requests for up to £500 to make their own lives easier – such as Julia Smith, from Spalding, who asked for £500 to buy sensory equipment for her sons Toby and Ben.

Groups such as scouts and guides have been asking for money to attend camps and buy craft equipment, while some people need money to enable them to undergo life-changing experiences such as expeditions to foreign countries.

To apply, email tracey.sweet land@jpress.co.uk with the following information: applicant, address,email address, phone number, total funding request, purpose for funding (who will benefit and how), or fill in the form on this page.

Applications up to £500 will be considered by a panel of Round Table members, while applications for more will be considered by all Round Table members.

Some of the latest applications received include:

n£1,430 for interlocking safety mats for Spalding Taekwondo Club;

n£250 for materials for a garden mosaic project with looked after children;

n£550 to pay for members of Holbeach 3rd Town Scouts to attend Poacher camp;

n£500 to enable Agape Food Bank to help families in crisis;

n£500 to help women with life controlling issues to take part in a residential programme;
