If you don’t have a dog it might be worth borrowing one for an event in support of local hospice services.
Local independent charity St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice is hosting a sponsored dog walk – Paws 4 a Cause – to help boots the funds needed to care for people living with life limiting illness throughout the county.
The walk takes place on Sunday from 1pm and will begin at Springfields Events Centre.
Dog walkers can choose to walk two or four miles along the Coronation Channel.
Community events fundraiser Vikki Allen said: “This is a fabulously fun event for dog lovers in Spalding and is a great opportunity for like-minded people to come together for an afternoon stroll. The walk is suitable for all fitness levels as owners can choose to walk two or four miles with their dogs.
“This is the first time we have brought this event to Spalding and we hope our community will get behind our efforts to raise vital funds to continue the care and support to patients and their families across Spalding.”
Registration is £5 per dog and it is possible to register by telephone on 07435 753098, email email@example.com or visit stbarnabashospice.co.uk/pawspa16
